CVE-2020-13386 is a local privilege escalation vulnerability in SmartDraw 2020 27.0.0.0. Due to weak folder permissions, an authenticated user can place a malicious executable, SDNotify.exe, in a non-existent directory within the SmartDraw installation path. This malicious executable will then be automatically executed with the privileges of the user who installed SmartDraw when scheduled tasks run. The vulnerability has a CVSS score of 7.3 (HIGH), indicating a significant potential for impact, including complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. There is currently no public exploit code available, nor is there evidence of active exploitation or significant community discussion.
