CVE-2020-10966 describes a Host header manipulation vulnerability in the Password Reset Module of VESTA Control Panel through 0.9.8-25 and Hestia Control Panel before 1.1.1. This flaw allows an attacker to craft a password reset URL containing an attacker-controlled server name, which, if clicked by a victim, could lead to account takeover. Rated as Medium severity (CVSS 6.5), the vulnerability requires user interaction (UI:R) and has a low attack complexity (AC:L), but can result in high integrity impact (I:H). There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, and no public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB) or significant community discussion has been identified.
