CVE-2020-10214 is a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability affecting D-Link DIR-825 Rev.B 2.10 devices. An authenticated attacker can exploit this by sending a crafted POST request to ntp_sync.cgi with an overly long ntp_server parameter, leading to arbitrary code execution. With a CVSS score of 8.8 (HIGH), this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity and requires only low privileges, potentially resulting in high impact to confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Currently, there is no known public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB) and no evidence of active exploitation or significant community discussion.
