20
FAUCET Score

CVE-2019-9628 is a high-severity vulnerability (CVSS 7.5) in the XMLTooling library, affecting versions prior to 3.0.4, as well as OpenSAML and Shibboleth Service Provider software. It stems from improper exception handling during XML parsing, where invalid data in the XML declaration can lead to an unhandled exception. This vulnerability is network-exploitable with low attack complexity, allowing an unauthenticated attacker to cause a denial of service (A:H). There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion or media coverage.
