CVE-2019-8955 describes a remote denial-of-service vulnerability affecting Tor clients and relays across several versions (before 0.3.3.12, 0.3.4.11, 0.3.5.8, and 0.4.0.2-alpha). This flaw allows an attacker to exhaust memory in the KIST cell scheduler, leading to service disruption. With a CVSS score of 7.5 (High), it is easily exploitable over the network with low complexity and no user interaction, resulting in a complete loss of availability. There is currently no public exploit code available, nor is there evidence of active exploitation or significant community discussion surrounding this vulnerability.
