CVE-2019-3683 describes a critical misconfiguration vulnerability in the keystone-json-assignment package used by SUSE Openstack Cloud 8 and HP Helion Openstack. This flaw inadvertently granted full "member" role access to all projects for every user listed in /etc/keystone/user-project-map.json, enabling unauthorized access, modification, creation, and deletion of arbitrary resources. With a CVSS score of 8.8 (HIGH), this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low privileges and complexity, leading to high impacts on confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
