CVE-2019-20925 is a denial-of-service vulnerability affecting MongoDB Server versions prior to 4.2.1, 4.0.13, 3.6.15, and 3.4.24. An unauthenticated attacker can trigger this by sending specially crafted wire protocol messages, leading to incorrect memory allocation within the message decompressor. Rated 7.5 HIGH on CVSS, this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with no user interaction, resulting in a high impact to availability. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion surrounding this CVE.
