CVE-2019-19495 describes a critical DNS rebinding vulnerability in the Technicolor TC7230 STEB web interface, affecting both the device and its firmware. This flaw allows a remote attacker to reconfigure the cable modem through a victim's browser, enabling port forwarding of the internal TELNET server and granting external root shell access. With a CVSS score of 9.8 (CRITICAL), the vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with no user interaction, leading to complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Despite its high severity and potential for remote code execution, there is currently no public exploit code available, and it is not listed in CISA's KEV catalog, indicating no active exploitation.
