CVE-2019-1864 describes a command injection vulnerability in the web-based management interface of Cisco Integrated Management Controller (IMC) Software. This flaw allows an authenticated, remote attacker with read-only privileges to inject and execute arbitrary system-level commands with root privileges. The vulnerability stems from insufficient validation of command input. Rated with a CVSS score of 8.8 (HIGH), this vulnerability has a low attack complexity and requires only low privileges, enabling a full compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The EPSS score is low, indicating a relatively low probability of exploitation in the wild. Currently, there is no evidence of active exploitation, and no public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB) or KEV entry exists. Community discussion and media coverage for this CVE are also minimal.
