CVE-2019-16889 is a denial-of-service vulnerability affecting Ubiquiti EdgeMAX devices running firmware versions prior to 2.0.3. An unauthenticated remote attacker can exploit this by sending specially crafted GET requests with unique, short session IDs in the beaker.session.id cookie, leading to excessive disk consumption and system instability. With a CVSS score of 7.5 (High), this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity and no user interaction required, resulting in high availability impact. There is currently no public exploit code available (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), and there is no evidence of active exploitation, nor has it garnered significant community discussion or media coverage.
