CVE-2019-16303

31
FAUCET Score

CVE-2019-16303 is a critical vulnerability affecting JHipster before version 6.3.0 and JHipster Kotlin through 1.1.0, where generated code uses an insecure random number generator for password reset URLs. This allows an attacker, if they can obtain their own password reset URL, to predict and compute other users' password reset tokens. With a CVSS score of 9.8 (Critical), this vulnerability presents a high risk of privilege escalation or account takeover due to its network-based attack vector, low complexity, and no user interaction required. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion surrounding this CVE.
