CVE-2019-12567 is a critical stack-based overflow vulnerability affecting Open TFTP Server MT versions 1.65 and earlier. This flaw allows remote attackers to trigger a denial of service or execute arbitrary code by sending a specially crafted, long TFTP error packet. With a CVSS score of 9.8, this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network without user interaction, leading to complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Despite its high severity, there is currently no public exploit code available (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), and it has not been observed in active exploitation or garnered significant community discussion or media coverage.
