CVE-2019-12419 is a critical vulnerability in Apache CXF versions prior to 3.3.4 and 3.2.11, as well as several Oracle products utilizing CXF, where the access token service fails to validate the authenticated principal against the supplied client ID. This flaw allows a malicious client to obtain an access token for another client if they can steal an authorization code. With a CVSS score of 9.8 (Critical), it presents a high risk due to its network-based attack vector, low attack complexity, and potential for complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Despite its severity, there is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion or media coverage.
