31
FAUCET Score

CVE-2019-12147 is a critical argument injection vulnerability in the Sangoma Session Border Controller (SBC) 2.3.23-119 GA web interface, specifically affecting the /var/webconfig/gui/Webconfig.inc.php and /usr/local/sng/bin/sng-user-mgmt components. This vulnerability allows a remote, unauthenticated attacker to create a local system user with sudo privileges by injecting special characters into the username field. Successful exploitation leads to complete device compromise, enabling access via the web interface or SSH. With a CVSS score of 9.8 (Critical), it presents a severe risk due to its network attack vector, low attack complexity, and high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion or media coverage.
