CVE-2019-11925 describes an out-of-bounds memory access vulnerability in the GD extension of HHVM, triggered by insufficient boundary checks when processing maliciously crafted JPEG APP12 block markers. This critical vulnerability (CVSS 9.8) affects numerous HHVM versions across several release branches. An unauthenticated attacker can exploit this remotely with low complexity, potentially leading to high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Despite its severity, there is currently no public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), and it is not listed in CISA's KEV catalog, nor has it garnered significant community discussion or media coverage.
