CVE-2019-0212 is an authorization bypass vulnerability affecting Apache HBase 2.x versions (2.0.0-2.0.4, 2.1.0-2.1.3) when configured with Kerberos, HBase authorization, and SPNEGO for its REST server. It allows authenticated, low-privileged users to execute requests with the elevated permissions of the REST server itself, rather than their own. Rated 7.5 HIGH, this vulnerability has a network attack vector and high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability, but requires high attack complexity.
