CVE-2018-8859 is a critical authentication bypass vulnerability affecting Echelon SmartServer 1, SmartServer 2 (prior to 4.11.007), and i.LON 100 devices. An attacker can bypass authentication by adding extra characters to directory names in access requests, leading to full compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
