CVE-2018-8845 is a critical heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability affecting multiple Advantech WebAccess products, including versions V8.2 and prior, V8.3.0 and prior, WebAccess Dashboard V.2.0.15 and prior, WebAccess Scada Node prior to 8.3.1, and WebAccess/NMS 2.0.3 and prior. This flaw allows an unauthenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code remotely with low attack complexity, leading to complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
