CVE-2018-8090 describes a DLL Hijacking vulnerability (CWE-427) present in multiple Quick Heal antivirus products, including Total Security, Internet Security, and AntiVirus Pro versions 17.00. This flaw allows an attacker to execute arbitrary code by tricking the legitimate Quick Heal applications into loading a malicious DLL due to insecure library loading. With a CVSS v3.1 score of 7.8 (High), successful exploitation requires local access and user interaction (e.g., opening a malicious file), leading to high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
