CVE-2018-8046 describes a Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the getTip() method of Action Columns within Sencha Ext JS versions 4 through 6, prior to 6.6.0. This flaw allows attackers to inject malicious scripts even when developers have attempted to HTML-escape user-controlled data, as the method incorrectly un-escapes it. With a CVSS score of 6.1 (MEDIUM), exploitation requires user interaction (UI:R) and could lead to limited confidentiality and integrity impacts (C:L/I:L). There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, publicly available exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion surrounding this vulnerability.
