CVE-2018-7539 is a critical path traversal vulnerability affecting Appear TV XC5000 and XC5100 devices running firmware 3.26.217, allowing unauthenticated attackers to read arbitrary OS files via specially crafted HTTP requests to the Maintenance Center on TCP/8088. With a CVSS score of 9.8, this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low complexity and no user interaction, potentially leading to a full device compromise.
