CVE-2018-6651 describes a critical vulnerability in the uncurl library (versions prior to 0.07) and Parsec (versions prior to 140-3) where insufficient validation of the Origin header in WebSocket API requests allows remote attackers to bypass access restrictions. This flaw, rated 8.8 HIGH, enables full control over a victim's computer in Parsec due to its network-based attack vector, low complexity, and high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion surrounding this vulnerability.
