CVE-2018-3149 is a critical vulnerability in the JNDI subcomponent of Oracle Java SE, Java SE Embedded, and JRockit, affecting versions 6u201, 7u191, 8u182, 11, and R28.3.19. This vulnerability, rated 8.3 HIGH, allows an unauthenticated attacker with network access to achieve complete system takeover (Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability) of affected Java deployments. Exploitation is difficult and requires human interaction, typically involving sandboxed Java Web Start applications or applets loading untrusted code. There is currently no public exploit code available, nor is there evidence of active exploitation or significant community discussion.
