CVE-2018-19660 is an authenticated command injection vulnerability affecting Moxa NPort W2x50A products with firmware prior to 2.2 Build_18082311. An attacker can exploit this by sending a specially crafted HTTP POST request to /goform/webSettingProfileSecurity, leading to arbitrary OS command execution as the root user. With a CVSS score of 8.8 (High), this vulnerability is remotely exploitable with low complexity, requiring only authenticated access, and can result in complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. There is currently no public exploit code available (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), nor is it listed on the CISA KEV catalog, and it has received minimal community discussion or media coverage.
