CVE-2018-19531 is a critical remote command execution vulnerability affecting HTTL (Hyper-Text Template Language) versions through 1.0.11. The flaw stems from the unsafe use of java.beans.XMLEncoder within the decodeXml function when the xml.codec setting is not configured, allowing unauthenticated attackers to execute arbitrary code with high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
