CVE-2018-17878 is a critical buffer overflow vulnerability affecting certain ABUS TVIP cameras, allowing unauthenticated attackers to gain full control of the device by sending a crafted string to a sprintf() function. With a CVSS score of 9.8, this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity, leading to complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Despite its severity, there is no known public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB) and no evidence of active exploitation or significant community discussion.
