CVE-2018-17198 is a critical Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) and File Enumeration vulnerability affecting Apache Roller versions 5.2.1, 5.2.0, and earlier unsupported versions. This flaw stems from the Java SAX Parser's default support for external entities in XML DOCTYPE within Roller's XML-RPC interface, even if the interface is disabled. With a CVSS score of 9.8 (CRITICAL), this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low complexity, allowing for high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
