CVE-2018-16657 is a critical denial-of-service vulnerability affecting Kamailio versions prior to 5.0.7 and 5.1.4. A crafted SIP message with an invalid Via header can trigger a segmentation fault due to missing input validation, crashing the Kamailio server. With a CVSS score of 9.8, this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity, potentially leading to complete denial of service and arbitrary code execution.
