CVE-2018-16587 describes a vulnerability in Open Ticket Request System (OTRS) versions 4.0.x before 4.0.32, 5.0.x before 5.0.30, and 6.0.x before 6.0.11, affecting Debian-based systems. This medium-severity vulnerability (CVSS 6.5) allows an unauthenticated attacker to send a malicious email that, when opened by an administrator, can lead to the deletion of arbitrary files the OTRS web server user has write access to. While the attack requires user interaction, there is currently no evidence of active exploitation, publicly available exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion or media coverage.
