CVE-2018-15476 describes a critical vulnerability in various myStrom WiFi devices (Switches, Bulbs, Buttons, LED Strips) where the devices failed to verify the SSL/TLS server certificate during cloud communication. This flaw allows a remote attacker, positioned to intercept network traffic, to perform a Man-in-the-Middle (MitM) attack. With a CVSS score of 8.1 (HIGH), the vulnerability enables an attacker to take full control of affected devices, including injecting malicious firmware updates.
