CVE-2018-14608 describes a critical information disclosure vulnerability in Thomson Reuters UltraTax CS 2017 on Windows, where sensitive customer data is stored in cleartext .XX17 files within unique directories, bypassing any password protection. This allows unauthorized access to full names, Social Security Numbers, dates of birth, addresses, and phone numbers for both customers and their spouses.
