CVE-2018-14324 describes a critical vulnerability in the demo feature of Oracle GlassFish Open Source Edition 5.0, where TCP port 7676 is open by default with a weak, default password for the admin account. This allows unauthenticated remote attackers to gain full control over the system via a JMX RMI session, potentially leading to sensitive information disclosure, database manipulation, and complete system compromise. With a CVSS score of 9.8 (Critical), the vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity and no user interaction required. Despite its severity, there is currently no public exploit code available (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), nor is it listed in the KEV catalog, and it shows minimal community discussion or media coverage.
