CVE-2018-1313

22
FAUCET Score

CVE-2018-1313 describes a vulnerability in Apache Derby versions 10.3.1.4 to 10.14.1.0, and consequently affects Oracle WebLogic Server which bundles Derby. An attacker can craft a network packet to force the Derby Network Server to boot a database from a controlled location. This medium-severity vulnerability (CVSS 5.3) has a network attack vector and high impact on integrity, but requires low privileges and high attack complexity. While the default Derby Network Server policy file is permissive, there is no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion or media coverage.
