CVE-2018-11738 is an out-of-bounds read vulnerability in the ntfs_make_data_run function within libtskfs.a of The Sleuth Kit (TSK) versions 4.0.2 through 4.6.1. This flaw, rated 8.1 HIGH, allows an unauthenticated attacker to trigger information disclosure or a denial of service by enticing a user to process a specially crafted file. While the vulnerability is severe, there is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion or media coverage.
