CVE-2018-11228 is a critical remote code execution vulnerability affecting several Crestron TSW series touch panels (TSW-1060, TSW-760, TSW-560, and their NC variants) running firmware versions prior to 2.001.0037.001. The flaw allows unauthenticated attackers to execute arbitrary Bash commands via a service within the Crestron Toolbox Protocol (CTP). With a CVSS score of 9.8, this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity, leading to complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. While there is no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion, the high severity and ease of exploitation warrant immediate patching.
