23
FAUCET Score

CVE-2018-10831 describes an incorrect Equihash solution verifier in Z-NOMP before 2018-04-05, affecting products like Zclassic z-nomp. This flaw allowed attackers to spoof mining shares by providing a trivial solution, bypassing verification for any blockheader. With a CVSS score of 7.5 (HIGH), this vulnerability is remotely exploitable with low attack complexity, leading to high integrity impact by enabling fraudulent mining shares. While it was exploited in the wild against smaller cryptocurrencies in May 2018, there is no known public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), and it has garnered minimal community discussion or media coverage.
