CVE-2018-0684 is a critical buffer overflow vulnerability affecting NEOJAPAN Inc.'s Denbun POP (V3.3P R3.0 and earlier) and Denbun IMAP (V3.3I R3.0 and earlier) email server software. This flaw allows unauthenticated remote attackers to execute arbitrary code or trigger a denial-of-service condition by sending specially crafted multipart/form-data. With a CVSS score of 9.8 (CRITICAL), the vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity, leading to high impacts on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Despite its severity, there is no public exploit code available (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), nor is it listed on the CISA KEV catalog, and it shows no evidence of active exploitation or significant community discussion.
