CVE-2018-0591 describes a critical vulnerability in the KINEPASS App for Android (v3.1.1 and earlier) and iOS (v3.1.2 and earlier) where the application fails to properly validate X.509 certificates from SSL servers. This oversight enables man-in-the-middle (MitM) attackers to spoof legitimate servers using crafted certificates, potentially leading to the compromise of sensitive user information.
