CVE-2017-9790 is a denial-of-service vulnerability affecting Apache Mesos versions before 1.1.3, 1.2.2, 1.3.1, and 1.4.0-dev. A remote unauthenticated attacker can crash Mesos masters by sending a specially crafted HTTP request with an empty path, exploiting a parsing error in the libprocess component. This vulnerability carries a CVSSv3 score of 7.5 (High) due to its network-based attack vector, low complexity, and high impact on availability, rendering the Mesos cluster inoperable. There is currently no public exploit code available, nor is there evidence of active exploitation or significant community discussion surrounding this CVE.
