CVE-2017-7901 describes a predictable TCP initial sequence number vulnerability in various Rockwell Automation Allen-Bradley MicroLogix 1100 and 1400 programmable logic controllers (PLCs) across multiple series and versions up to 16.00. This flaw allows attackers to predict sequence numbers from previous values due to insufficient randomness. With a CVSS v3 score of 8.6 (High), this vulnerability enables remote attackers to spoof or disrupt TCP connections, leading to a denial of service for the affected devices, and potentially impacting confidentiality and integrity. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion or media coverage.
