CVE-2017-7670 describes a Slowloris-style Denial of Service vulnerability affecting the Traffic Router component of Apache Traffic Control. An attacker can exhaust the DNS request thread pool by establishing persistent TCP connections on the DNS port, preventing the service from responding to legitimate DNS requests. This vulnerability has a CVSSv3 score of 7.5 (High) due to its network-based attack vector, low complexity, and high impact on availability. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, publicly available exploit code, or significant community discussion surrounding this CVE.
