CVE-2017-4910 describes multiple out-of-bounds read vulnerabilities in the JPEG2000 parser (TPView.dll) affecting VMware Workstation (versions prior to 12.5.3) and Horizon View Client (versions prior to 4.4.0). This flaw, with a CVSS score of 7.8 (High), could allow a guest or View desktop to execute code or cause a Denial of Service on the host Windows OS, but only if virtual printing is enabled. While not enabled by default in Workstation, virtual printing is a default setting in Horizon View.
