CVE-2017-2823 describes a use-after-free vulnerability within the .ISO parsing functionality of PowerISO 6.8. This flaw allows a specially crafted .ISO file to trigger a condition that could lead to arbitrary code execution on an affected system. With a CVSS score of 7.8 (High), the vulnerability requires user interaction (UI:R) to open the malicious file, but once triggered, it can result in high impacts to confidentiality, integrity, and availability (C:H/I:H/A:H).
