CVE-2017-2782 is an integer overflow vulnerability in InsideSecure MatrixSSL 3.8.7b's X509 certificate parsing. A specially crafted X509 certificate can cause a length counter to overflow, leading to a controlled out-of-bounds memory copy. This critical vulnerability (CVSS 9.1) allows an unauthenticated attacker to achieve high confidentiality and availability impact by presenting a malicious certificate during a secure connection initiation. There is no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion surrounding this CVE.
