CVE-2017-17257 describes a memory leak vulnerability in the H323 protocol affecting numerous Huawei AR series routers, security gateways, and video conferencing products. An unauthenticated, remote attacker can exploit this by sending specially crafted malformed packets, leading to a memory leak and eventually a denial of service (DoS) condition. This vulnerability has a CVSS v3.0 score of 7.5 (High), indicating a network-based attack with low complexity and no user interaction required, resulting in high availability impact.
