CVE-2017-17254 describes a null pointer dereference vulnerability in the H323 protocol affecting numerous Huawei AR series routers, IPS/NGFW modules, NIP series, Secospace USG series, TE series, and other products. An unauthenticated, remote attacker can exploit this by sending specially crafted malformed packets, leading to a process crash due to insufficient packet validation. This vulnerability has a CVSS v3 score of 7.5 (High), indicating a high impact on availability with low attack complexity and no user interaction required.
