CVE-2017-14441 is a critical code execution vulnerability in the ICO image rendering functionality of SDL2_image-2.0.2, affecting various Debian and libsdl products. A specially crafted ICO image can trigger an integer overflow, leading to a heap overflow and ultimately arbitrary code execution. With a CVSS score of 8.8 (High), this vulnerability requires user interaction (displaying the malicious image) but allows for complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
