CVE-2017-13722 is a buffer over-read vulnerability in the pcfGetProperties function of libXfont (versions through 1.5.2 and 2.x before 2.0.2), affecting X.Org X servers. This flaw allows local, authenticated attackers to trigger information disclosure or a denial-of-service crash of the X server by crafting malicious PCF font files. Rated 7.1 HIGH, the attack requires local access and low privileges, but has high impact on confidentiality and availability. There is no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion surrounding this vulnerability.
