CVE-2017-12631 describes a Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability affecting the Apache CXF Fediz Spring 2, 3, and 4 plugins in versions prior to 1.4.3 and 1.3.3. This flaw allows an attacker to manipulate a user's security context, potentially assigning malicious client roles to the end-user. With a CVSS score of 8.8 (HIGH), the vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity, leading to high impacts on confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
