CVE-2017-0909 describes a Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) bypass vulnerability in the private_address_check Ruby gem prior to version 0.4.1, affecting the private_address_check_project. This critical vulnerability (CVSS 9.8) allows unauthenticated attackers to bypass the gem's incomplete blacklist of private network addresses, potentially leading to full compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
